Groundbreaking Event
On September 17, our congregation gathered at the building site of our new synagogue for a ground breaking ceremony. We unveiled our sign proclaiming our intention to build and then listened to members of our shul who told us about the plans. In addition, Mr Menachem Spitz represented the Efrat City Council with words of support and good wishes. This was followed by a moving speech by Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, the Chief Rabbi of Efrat, who not only wished us well but also spoke of his admiration and ongoing relationship with our congregation. The event was attended not only by our members, but also by well-wishers from throughout Efrat and, particularly, from our neighborhood. This event was an excellent way to kick off our fundraising campaign which was initiated in the following weeks.
טקס הנחת אבן
-17.9.2021 התכנסה הקהילה לטקס הנחת אבן הפינה והסרת הלוט לבניין בית הכנסת במקום המיועד למבנה בשכונת הזית. האזנו לחברי הקהילה שהסבירו על התוכניות למבנה. חבר המועצה מר מנחם שפיץ ייצג את המועצה ונשא דברי תמיכה וברכות.
לאחר מכן נשא דברים הרב שלמה רסקין, רבה של אפרת. הרב סיפר על הקשר הארוך שלו לקהילה ובירך בחום את העוסקים במלאכה. באירוע השתתפו חברי הקהילה, תושבי שכונת הזית ותושבי אפרת. טקס הנחת אבן הפינה היה תחילת הדרך למבצע גיוס הכספים שהתחיל כמה שבועות לאחר מכן.
Fundraising Campaign
In January 2022, members of our congregation participated in a successful fundraising campaign to reach our building fund goals. A fun evening was organized in which an introduction to the crowdfunding process took place. Participants committed themselves to raising a certain amount and were given the tools to reach out to family and friends to achieve their fundraising goals. Over the course of three weeks, the community engaged in impressive fundraising efforts which succeeded in raising a total of 853,000 shekalim, which will allow the congregation to complete the sanctuary on the second floor. We need to raise another 500,000 shekalim to complete the social hall on the ground floor.
בקמפיין לגיוס כספים
בינואר 2002 השתתפו חברי הקהילה בקמפיין מוצלח של מימון המונים לצורך השגת הסכום הנדרש לבניית בית הכנסת. הקמפיין התחיל בערב פתיחה מהנה ומחכים שבו הוצגו הקמפיין, התהליך והיעדים לגיוס. המשתתפים לקחו על עצמם לגייס סכומי כסף עבור בית הכנסת כפי יכולתם. במהלך הערב הוצגו לחברים כלים ואסטרטגיות שונות לגיוס כספים. בתקופת הקמפיין שארכה כשלושה שבועות הצליחה הקהילה לגייס סכום של 853,000 ש"ח שיאפשר להתחיל ולסיים את בניית אולם התפילה בקומה השנייה. נצרכים עוד 500,000 ₪ לסיום בניית הקומה הראשונה, הכוללת אולם שמחות.
